Quick Answer
Roofing software pricing in 2026 ranges from free (Roofr Starter) to $699/month (Jobber Plus at 15 users, month-to-month), and that’s before add-ons. Only 4 of the 14 platforms we compared publish full pricing without a sales call. For a typical 5-person residential crew, expect to pay $249 to $500 per month for a capable platform once measurement reports, texting, and integrations are factored in.

RSG Verdict
This roofing software pricing comparison covers all 14 major platforms with confirmed vendor pricing where available. For most residential contractors, Roofr offers the best value with flat-rate pricing and no per-seat fees. AccuLynx remains the deepest roofing CRM but costs significantly more once add-ons stack up. If you’re running a crew of 10+ people, flat-rate platforms save you hundreds per month over per-user alternatives.

Why Roofing Software Pricing Is So Hard to Compare
Here’s the frustrating truth: most roofing software vendors don’t want you to compare prices. Of the 14 platforms in this roofing software pricing comparison, only four publish their full pricing publicly. The rest force you onto a sales call before you see a single dollar figure.
That makes an honest comparison nearly impossible unless someone does the homework. So we did.
Roofing software uses three pricing models, and mixing them up will wreck your budget. Per-user pricing charges for every seat (Jobber, RoofSnap). Flat-rate pricing gives you a set monthly fee regardless of team size (Roofr). Per-report or per-scan pricing charges each time you order a satellite roof measurement or 3D model (EagleView, Hover).
The “starting price” you see on a vendor’s homepage almost never reflects what you’ll actually pay. Add measurement credits, per-user fees, an SMS texting add-on, payment processing, and hidden fees for features like a customer portal, and a $250/month platform can easily hit $500+.
Throughout this guide, we assign every platform a Pricing Transparency Grade from A to F. This is something no other comparison does, and it matters. If a vendor won’t tell you the price upfront, that tells you something about how they do business. We cover all 14 platforms with confirmed pricing where it exists and clearly flag every quote-based tool where it doesn’t.
How We Evaluated Roofing Software Pricing in 2026
All pricing was pulled directly from vendor websites as of September 2026. Where a vendor does not publish prices, we label it “quote-based” and say exactly that. We never present unverified numbers as confirmed rates. You can read more about how we score products on our methodology page.
We evaluated each platform across four criteria:
- Published pricing transparency: Can you find the price without a sales call?
- True monthly cost at 5 users: What a typical small crew actually pays.
- Hidden add-on costs: Texting, measurement reports, payment processing, and premium features that aren’t in the base price.
- Total cost of ownership at scale: What happens to the bill when you grow to 10 or 15 people.
Each platform also gets a Pricing Transparency Grade (A through F) based solely on how much pricing information is publicly available. An “A” means full public pricing. An “F” means you can’t find any pricing whatsoever without talking to sales.
One important distinction: some platforms here are roofing-specific (AccuLynx, JobNimbus, Roofr), while others are general contractor tools adapted for roofing (Jobber, ServiceTitan). Roofing-specific tools typically include features like supplement management, aerial measurement integration, and waste factor calculation that general tools lack, but they also tend to charge more for those capabilities.

Roofing Software Pricing Transparency Grades: Who Hides the Price?
No other comparison site grades vendors on pricing transparency. We think that’s a mistake. If you have to sit through a 45-minute demo just to learn the monthly cost, that’s a red flag about how that company handles contracts, billing disputes, and cancellations.
Here’s how we grade it:
Grade A: Full Public Pricing
Roofr, Jobber, CompanyCam, RoofSnap all publish complete pricing on their websites. You can see every plan, every add-on, and every per-report fee before creating an account. Roofr goes furthest by offering a genuinely free Starter plan with no credit card required. Jobber lists pricing for every user count and plan combination. CompanyCam recently restructured its plans (Core, Crew, Scale, Enterprise) and published all new rates. RoofSnap shows per-user monthly and annual pricing plus every report type and cost.
Grade B: Partial Pricing
AccuLynx publishes an Essential tier at $250/month in promotional materials, but the main website plan page lists no prices. Pro and Elite remain quote-only. We label the $250 figure as unverified on their primary site. EagleView publishes a full per-report rate card (Bronze through Platinum tiers), but its EagleView One subscription is entirely quote-based.
Grade C: Incomplete or Hard to Find
Hover publishes its Pro ($999/year) and Business ($2,999/year) subscriptions and a per-scan price table, but per-scan prices change with property complexity and scan type, so the real cost of a job takes work to pin down. Leap shows Essential at $79/month and Team “from $298/month,” but SalesPro and Enterprise require sales calls. iRoofing publishes subscription pricing but obscures the metered imagery credits and done-for-you report fees. Projul publishes annual-only pricing but requires you to contact sales for monthly options (there are none). GAF QuickMeasure publishes per-parcel rates but only on a sub-page that’s not easy to find.
Grade D: Fully Quote-Based
JobNimbus, ServiceTitan, and HailTrace require a sales call for any pricing information. JobNimbus doesn’t publish a single dollar figure for its Essentials, Pro, Premium, or Enterprise plans. ServiceTitan uses a per-technician model with no published rates. HailTrace offers four tiers including a free option, but paid subscription pricing is quote-only.
Per-User vs. Flat-Rate Pricing: Which Model Costs Less at Scale?
This is where most roofing software cost comparisons fall short. They show “starting at $49/month” without explaining what happens when your crew grows from 3 to 15 people. The per-user pricing model can quietly double or triple your bill.
Here’s the math. Jobber publishes bundled pricing at specific user counts. At 15 users on the Grow plan (billed monthly), you’re paying $499/month. On Plus at 15 users, that jumps to $699/month. RoofSnap charges per-user: at their annual rate of $52/user for teams of 10+, a 15-person team pays $780/month.
Now compare that to Roofr Scale at $349/month with unlimited users within the plan. No per-seat fees. No math required. The gap widens as you grow.
| Platform | 3 Users (per month) | 5 Users (per month) | 10 Users (per month) | 15 Users (per month) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Roofr Essentials | $249 | $249 | $249 | $249 |
| Roofr Scale | $349 | $349 | $349 | $349 |
| Jobber Grow (monthly) | $257 (1-user base $199 + 2 × $29) | $299 (5-user bundle) | $399 (10-user bundle) | $499 (15-user bundle) |
| Jobber Plus (monthly) | Quote (min 5 users) | $499 (5-user bundle) | $599 (10-user bundle) | $699 (15-user bundle) |
| RoofSnap Annual (per-user, tiered by team size) | $234 (3 × $78) | $305 (5 × $61) | $520 (10 × $52) | $780 (15 × $52) |
| CompanyCam Core (annual) | $63 + 1 × $29 = $92 | $63 + 3 × $29 = $150 | $63 + 8 × $29 = $295 | $63 + 13 × $29 = $440 |
| JobNimbus | Quote | Quote | Quote | Quote |
| AccuLynx | Quote | Quote | Quote | Quote |
| ServiceTitan | Quote | Quote | Quote | Quote |
The takeaway is clear. For a 10-person roofing team, Roofr’s flat-rate pricing at $249–$349/month saves $171–$350/month compared to per-user alternatives like RoofSnap or Jobber Plus. Over a year, that’s roughly $2,050 to $4,200 in savings on CRM costs alone.
Per-user pricing makes sense only if you’re a one or two-person operation where the base plan covers your needs. The moment you start hiring, flat-rate roofing software pays for itself. The Real Cost of Roofing Software: Hidden Fees and Add-Ons Exposed
Sticker price is a lie. Or at least, it’s the opening bid. Here’s what the 14 platforms in this roofing software pricing comparison actually charge once you start using the features you need.
AccuLynx: The Essential plan starts at $250/month (per promotional materials), but users consistently report that SmartDocs for document signing, the SMS texting add-on, the customer portal, and DataMart enterprise analytics all carry separate fees. A 5-person residential crew can easily reach $400–$500/month once these are layered in. For more details, see our AccuLynx pricing breakdown.
Jobber: The $49/month Core plan looks affordable until you need QuickBooks Online integration (starts at Connect, $139/month) or two-way SMS (starts at Grow, $199/month). Add the Marketing Suite ($99/month), AI Receptionist ($29/month), and Pipeline ($49/month), and a Grow plan at 5 users ($299/month) becomes $476/month. Payment processing adds 2.9% + $0.30 per card transaction on top of that.
CompanyCam: The 2026 restructure eliminated the old 3-user minimum (a long-requested change), but higher-tier prices rose significantly. The Marketing Suite is now a paid add-on at $99/month. SSO costs $250/month. AI credits are limited on Core (20) and Crew (100) plans. If you’re running a larger team, a 10-person crew on annual billing pays roughly $295/month (Core base + 8 additional users at $29 each).
EagleView: Per-report costs stack fast. A contractor ordering 20 Premium Residential reports per month at the Bronze tier (medium-sized homes at $60 each) spends $1,200/month just on aerial measurement reports. That’s before any subscription fee. Users report upsell pressure to upgrade report types, with sales reps suggesting the standard report is insufficient for insurance claim processing. Check our full EagleView pricing guide for volume discount breakpoints.
Hover: The Pro plan costs $999/year (Hover no longer lists a monthly price) and the newer Business plan is $2,999/year with flat per-scan rates, but on Starter and Pro the per-scan fees range from $9 (roof-only on Pro) to $139 (full exterior on Starter). A contractor scanning 15 medium full-exterior properties per month on the Starter tier pays $99 × 15 = $1,485 in scan fees alone. Even on Pro, 15 large full-exterior scans cost $119 × 15 = $1,785 plus the Pro subscription ($999/year, about $83/month). Per-scan costs vary by property size, small, medium, and large properties are priced differently. This per-report satellite measurement cost is the biggest hidden expense in the category.
JobNimbus: The pricing structure stacks subscription fees, user caps, and add-on costs. The Marketing Hub is a separate product entirely, starting at $499/month per location with a $150/month charge for each additional location. Usage fees and ad spend are on top of that. Without published base pricing, it’s impossible to calculate the total cost of ownership without getting a custom quote.
“Sticker Price” vs. “Real Price” for a 5-Person Crew
| Platform | Published “Starting” Price | Estimated Real Monthly Cost (5 users + common add-ons) |
|---|---|---|
| Roofr Essentials | $249/mo | $249 + ~$65 in reports (5/mo at $13) = ~$314 |
| Jobber Grow | $199/mo (1 user) | $299 (5-user bundle) + $99 Marketing = ~$398 |
| AccuLynx Essential | $250/mo (unverified) | $250 + estimated add-ons = ~$400–$500 |
| CompanyCam Scale (annual) | $199/mo (3 users) | $199 + 2 × $29 = $257 |

Individual Platform Pricing Breakdown: All 14 Roofing Software Tools
Jobber
RSG Score: 8.3/10 RSG Silver
Jobber is the easiest platform to learn in this comparison. The problem? It’s not built specifically for roofing. You won’t find supplement management, aerial measurement integration, or a material price database. It’s a general field service tool that works well for small crews who need scheduling, invoicing, and basic CRM.
Core
- Basic CRM and scheduling
- Invoicing and payments
- No QuickBooks
Connect
- QuickBooks Online integration
- GPS tracking (FleetSharp)
- One-way automated texts
Grow
- Two-way SMS
- All Connect features
- 10 users: $399/mo; 15 users: $499/mo
Plus
- Advanced reporting
- 10 users: $599/mo; 15 users: $699/mo
Additional users cost $29/month on any plan. Annual prepaid billing drops prices significantly (Core to $29/month, Connect to $99/month). The 14-day free trial runs on Grow features with no credit card required. Spanish-language mobile app is available for team members but not for admins or account owners.
For a full breakdown, read our Jobber pricing guide for roofers.
JobNimbus

RSG Score: 8.6/10 RSG Silver
JobNimbus is a flexible roofing CRM with a drag-and-drop job pipeline that contractors love. But you can’t see a single price on their website. They run four tiers: Essentials (up to 3 users), Pro (up to 10), Premium (up to 19), and Enterprise (20+). All are quote-based. The 14-day free trial needs no credit card.
The QuickBooks Online integration is two-way and configurable, but there’s a limitation worth knowing: expenses like work orders, material orders, and bills paid do not sync. If you track job costs through supplier invoices, those won’t flow to QuickBooks automatically.
The Marketing Hub is a separate product entirely. Base starts at $499/month per location (no commitment), with Base Plus at $999/month and Initiative at $1,499+/month (both require a 3-month minimum). Each additional location adds $150/month, plus usage fees, plus ad spend. This can easily become the most expensive line item on your bill.
Backed by Sumeru Equity’s $330 million investment in December 2024, JobNimbus launched NimbusLabs in early access in August 2026, though those features remain pre-GA. For our deep dive, see the JobNimbus pricing guide.
AccuLynx

RSG Score: 9.1/10 RSG Gold
AccuLynx is the deepest CRM built exclusively for roofing. It earns a perfect 10.0 on features and a 9.9 on roofing-specificity. The estimating workflow handles everything from satellite roof measurement to insurance restoration supplement management to digital proposals with e-signature. It integrates with both QuickBooks Online and Desktop with two-way sync, plus material distributors like ABC Supply, SRS Distribution, and QXO (formerly Beacon Building Products) for live pricing in estimates.
Pricing is the weak spot. The Essential plan appears in promotional materials at $250/month, but this figure is not published on AccuLynx’s main plan options page. We label it unverified. Pro and Elite tiers are fully quote-based. There are no long-term contracts; billing is monthly with cancel-anytime terms.
Notable 2026 updates include RoofScope aerial measurement integration (February 2026), DataMart enterprise analytics, multi-location financial rollup, mobile estimating improvements, and two-factor authentication. One thing AccuLynx notably lacks in 2026: AI features. While rivals have shipped AI estimating and AI-powered tools, AccuLynx’s Spring 2026 release included none.
The Verisk acquisition situation remains unresolved. The termination was ruled invalid in August 2026, but Verisk appealed to the Delaware Supreme Court. AccuLynx remains independent. For our detailed analysis, read the full AccuLynx review.
Roofr

RSG Score: 9.3/10 RSG Gold
Roofr offers the fastest path from measurement to signed proposal, and its pricing is the most transparent in the roofing CRM space. The March 2026 overhaul introduced four plans: Starter ($0 forever), Measure+ ($109–$169/month), Essentials ($249/month), and Scale ($349/month). Annual billing drops Essentials to $209/month and Scale to $299/month.
The killer advantage: unlimited users on all plans with no per-seat fees. A 15-person crew pays the same as a 3-person crew. Roofr Reports cost $19 on Starter and $13 on paid plans. ESX files for Xactimate are available at $12 (Starter) or $10 (Measure+), with a Verisk integration that went live April 15, 2026.
Add-ons include an Instant Estimator ($149/$125/month), AI Receptionist ($99/$85/month), Sites Beta ($99/$85/month), and SMS ($49/$45/month). Good-better-best proposal templates are built into the platform with no extra charge.
Trade-offs: there’s no native mobile app (browser-based on phones), satellite coverage gaps in rural areas affect report availability, and per-report costs scale poorly above 100 reports per month. For our complete analysis, read the Roofr review.
CompanyCam

RSG Score: 9.5/10 RSG Gold
CompanyCam is the storm damage photo documentation tool every roofing crew needs. It earns a perfect 10.0 on both ease of use and features. The 2026 restructure introduced four plans: Core ($79/month or $63/month annual for 1–2 users), Crew ($149/month or $119/month annual for 3 users), Scale ($249/month or $199/month annual for 3 users), and Enterprise (custom).
Additional users cost $34/month or $29/month annual. AI credits scale by plan: Core gets 20, Crew gets 100, and Scale gets unlimited. LiDAR scanning is only available on Scale.
The big 2026 news: CompanyCam acquired Beam Finance Inc. in March 2026, adding AI estimating, payment processing, invoicing, and document signing to the platform. They also eliminated the long-criticized 3-user minimum with the new Core plan.
CompanyCam does not include crew scheduling and dispatching, route optimization, or full CRM functionality. Most contractors pair it with a separate roofing CRM. For pricing details, see our CompanyCam pricing guide.
EagleView

RSG Score: 9.0/10 RSG Gold
EagleView is the industry-standard aerial measurement provider. Per-report pricing runs through Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum tiers based on volume. A Premium Residential report on a medium-sized home costs $60 at Bronze, $54.75 at Silver, and $49 at Gold. Bid Perfect (a lighter report) is $18 for residential and $49 for commercial at Bronze, Silver and Gold; Platinum is by quote.
Specialty reports include Walls ($40), Walls Windows and Doors ($67.50–$78), and Full House ($91–$105). The EagleView One subscription replaced legacy tiers with custom pricing. EagleView Horizon, their new GeoAI platform, launched as invite-only in April 2026.
Contractors ordering 20+ reports per month should evaluate whether the Gold tier volume discount covers the annual commitment. At Bronze pricing, 20 medium Premium Residential reports cost $1,200/month. Moving to Gold drops that to $980. Over a year, the savings are meaningful. We break this down further in our Roofr vs EagleView comparison.
Hover

RSG Score: 8.3/10 RSG Silver
Hover creates 3D property models from smartphone photos. Starter is free for 3 projects (no credit card). Pro costs $999/year (no monthly option is listed), and the newer Business plan at $2,999/year adds flat per-scan pricing. Per-project fees vary by property size. For a small property, a roof-only scan costs $9 on Pro versus $29 on Starter, and a full exterior scan runs $39 on Pro versus $59 on Starter. Medium and large properties cost more, up to $119 on Pro or $139 on Starter for a large full exterior scan.
The 2026 mobile app update added a reimagined LiDAR interior review screen, a multi-structure property scanning switcher for detached garages and separate buildings, and a flash/torch feature for inspections. Estimates, 2D Design, and Agreements (including e-signature on proposals) are locked to Pro and above.
Common issues reported by contractors: photo submission failures on certain devices, limited design customization options, and high per-scan costs that make it expensive for high-volume users. For a head-to-head measurement comparison, check our Roofr vs Hover comparison.
RoofSnap

RSG Score: 8.6/10 RSG Silver
RoofSnap offers hands-on aerial measurements at a lower cost than EagleView. Pay-as-you-go starts at $13 per Half Snap report. Subscriptions run from $52/user/month (annual, 10+ users) to $105/user/month (monthly). The 7-day trial is free. Full Snap reports range from $11 to $55 depending on plan and property size.
Snap Estimates, the headline 2026 addition, is designed for solo roofers and small teams who want to go from measurement to estimate without a full CRM. Owned by EverCommerce (EverPro), RoofSnap’s pricing has remained stable through 2026.
The per-user model hurts at scale. A 10-person team on annual billing pays $520/month. Consider whether a flat-rate platform like Roofr gives you more for less at that team size. Full details in our RoofSnap review.
ServiceTitan

RSG Score: 7.8/10 RSG Bronze
ServiceTitan is the enterprise field service platform that scores a perfect 10.0 on features but a 6.0 on pricing value. Three tiers exist (Starter, Essentials, The Works) with a per-technician pricing model, but no prices are published. Implementation costs are substantial.
The Xactimate integration, critical for insurance restoration contractors, was listed as “Coming Summer 2026” on their partnerships page as of September 2026. No GA announcement has been made. Their Atlas AI debuted at Pantheon 2025 and remains in a “coming soon” state. ServiceTitan is powerful for multi-location companies running 20+ crews, but most residential roofing contractors find it overbuilt and overpriced for their needs. For our detailed cost analysis, see the ServiceTitan pricing guide for roofers.
Leap

RSG Score: 8.1/10 RSG Silver
Leap is an in-home digital sales tool built for roofing presentations. Essential starts at $79/month for 1 user with a 14-day trial. Team starts from $298/month for the first user plus $99/month per additional user. SalesPro Premium starts from $750/month including 6 users, with Enterprise pricing by quote. All plans require 1-year contracts billed monthly.
Leap shines for insurance restoration contractors who need polished digital proposals and supplement management workflow support. It integrates with EagleView for aerial measurement and works well as a sales layer on top of a separate roofing CRM. The main drawback is cost: a 5-person team on Team pricing quickly exceeds $600/month. See our Leap review for a complete breakdown.
iRoofing

RSG Score: 8.5/10 RSG Silver
iRoofing specializes in mobile estimating with roof visualization that lets homeowners see different shingle colors and styles from manufacturers like Owens Corning, GAF, and CertainTeed on their actual roof. Pricing runs $149/month (monthly), $124/month (12-month term), or $107/month (24-month term) for 3 users with 150 HD imagery credits per month.
Important distinction: “unlimited measurements” refers to DIY measurements only. HD imagery is metered, and done-for-you reports cost $10 per perimeter report (subscribers get 20% off). This is an iPad-centric workflow, which works great in-home but limits field flexibility. Read our iRoofing review for details.
Projul

RSG Score: 8.3/10 RSG Silver
Projul is a straightforward project management platform for roofing contractors. Pricing is annual-only with no monthly option: Core at $4,788/year ($399/month equivalent), Core+ at $7,188/year ($599/month), and Pro at $14,388/year ($1,199/month). This flat-rate pricing model means no per-user fees, but only the Pro plan includes unlimited users.
Feature gates matter here. Time tracking requires Core+. Geofencing requires Pro. QuickBooks Online integration needs Core+, while QuickBooks Desktop needs Pro. Projul works best for contractors who need project management more than sales CRM. Full analysis in our Projul review.
HailTrace

RSG Score: 9.1/10 RSG Gold
HailTrace provides real-time storm data and hail mapping for insurance restoration contractors. It’s not a CRM or estimating tool. It’s a lead-gen and storm-targeting tool that tells you exactly which neighborhoods got hit and how hard.
Pricing is quote-based across four subscription tiers (including a free tier). A one-off storm map costs $230 but can be credited toward a subscription if you sign up within 7 days. Storm restoration contractors typically pair HailTrace with a separate roofing CRM like AccuLynx or JobNimbus for the actual insurance claim processing and supplement management. See our HailTrace review.
GAF QuickMeasure
RSG Score: 9.1/10 RSG Gold
GAF QuickMeasure is not free. This is a common misconception. Per-parcel pricing runs $18 for GAF Master Elite contractors and $20 for everyone else. Multi-family and commercial parcels cost $54–$60. There’s a $10 code and weather add-on. The GAF certification discount is $2 per parcel, not a free tier.
Turnaround is fast: under 1 hour for single-family homes and under 24 hours for multi-family and commercial properties. GAF QuickMeasure integrates naturally with the GAF materials ecosystem, making it the most cost-effective aerial measurement option for contractors already buying GAF shingles. Compare it directly in our GAF QuickMeasure vs Roofr showdown.
Roofing Software Pricing by Business Type: Residential vs. Commercial
No other roofing software cost comparison breaks this down cleanly. Different job types need different tools, and the pricing reflects it.
Residential focus: Roofr, JobNimbus, AccuLynx, RoofSnap, and Jobber are optimized for residential roofing workflows. These handle homeowner-facing digital proposals, good-better-best proposal templates, and insurance restoration estimates well. Pricing tends to be more transparent and lower, starting from free (Roofr Starter) up to ~$500/month for full-featured CRM access.
Commercial focus: ServiceTitan and Projul handle multi-phase commercial jobs, change orders, and deeper job costing better than residential-first tools. Both are significantly more expensive and almost always quote-based. Projul’s published annual plans work out to $399 to $1,199 per month; ServiceTitan is quote-only. The NRCA recommends tracking labor hours, material waste, and change orders separately for commercial projects, and these platforms handle that natively.
Insurance restoration: AccuLynx, Leap, and JobNimbus have dedicated supplement management workflows and Xactimate integration (or ESX file support). Jobber notably lacks these capabilities. Storm restoration contractors often combine HailTrace for storm targeting with AccuLynx or JobNimbus for the CRM layer. Both CRMs are quote-based, so budget for a custom quote plus the HailTrace subscription, but the stack generates significant ROI when you’re closing insurance claims efficiently.
| Use Case | Best Platform(s) | Pricing Model | Estimated Monthly Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Residential re-roofs | Roofr, Jobber | Flat-rate / per-user | $249–$400 |
| Insurance restoration | AccuLynx, JobNimbus, Leap | Tiered / quote | Quote-based (Leap Team from $298/mo) |
| Storm chasing | HailTrace + AccuLynx/JobNimbus | Quote + tiered | Quote-based CRM + $230 one-off storm maps |
| Commercial roofing | ServiceTitan, Projul | Quote / annual flat | Projul $399–$1,199 (annual plans); ServiceTitan quote |
| Solo / owner-operator | Roofr Starter, RoofSnap PAYG | Free / per-report | $0 base + $13–$19 per report |

Aerial Measurement Tools Compared: EagleView, Hover, Roofr, and GAF QuickMeasure
Aerial measurement is a cost layer unique to roofing. Shingle prices from Owens Corning, GAF, or CertainTeed shift constantly, and an accurate measurement with proper waste factor calculation is the foundation of every profitable estimate. Here’s what each tool costs per report.
| Tool | Cost Per Report | Method | Rural Coverage | Key 2026 Update |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EagleView | $18–$91 | Satellite imagery | Strong | Horizon GeoAI platform (invite-only) |
| Hover | $9–$139 per scan | Smartphone photos | Excellent (no satellite needed) | LiDAR interior review, multi-structure scanning |
| Roofr | $13–$19 | Satellite imagery | Gaps in rural areas | Verisk/Xactimate integration (April 2026) |
| GAF QuickMeasure | $18–$20 residential | Satellite imagery | Good | Under 1-hour turnaround for single-family |
| RoofSnap | $13–$55 | Satellite + DIY tools | Moderate | Snap Estimates for solo roofers |
Breakeven math: If you order 20 reports per month, Roofr at $13 each costs $260. EagleView Premium at Bronze ($60 each for medium homes) costs $1,200. That’s a $940/month difference, or $11,280 per year. EagleView delivers higher accuracy on complex structures and better rural coverage, but for standard residential re-roofs, Roofr’s reports are accurate enough for most estimates. Compare them directly in our 3-way measurement comparison.
Hover is the best option when satellite imagery isn’t available. Newer homes, properties with heavy tree cover, or rural areas without recent flyovers all benefit from Hover’s smartphone-based approach. The trade-off is higher per-scan costs and the time required to capture photos on-site.
Total Cost of Ownership: What 3 Roofing Companies Actually Pay Per Year
Comparing sticker prices is easy. Calculating the total cost of ownership is where most contractors get surprised. Here are three real-world scenarios using confirmed pricing.
Scenario 1: Solo Roofer / Owner-Operator
A solo roofer doing 8–10 jobs per month needs measurements and basic proposals. No CRM overhead needed.
- Roofr Starter: $0/month base + 10 reports × $19 = $190/month = $2,280/year
- RoofSnap PAYG: $0/month base + 10 Half Snap reports × $13 = $130/month = $1,560/year
- Jobber Core: $49/month + external measurements = $588/year + measurement costs
Winner at this size: RoofSnap PAYG for measurements only, or Roofr Starter if you also want free proposals. See our best roofing software for one-person operations.
Scenario 2: 5-Person Residential Crew ($1.5M/year revenue)
Needs a roofing CRM, proposals, measurements, QuickBooks Online integration, and basic communication tools.
- Roofr Essentials: $249/month + 20 reports × $13 + SMS $49 = $558/month = $6,696/year
- AccuLynx Essential (unverified $250/month): $250 + estimated add-ons ~$150 + external measurement costs = ~$500/month = ~$6,000/year + measurements
- Jobber Grow (5 users, monthly): $299 + Marketing Suite $99 = $398/month = $4,776/year + measurement costs
Jobber looks cheapest on paper, but remember: Jobber doesn’t have supplement management, aerial measurement integration, or roofing-specific estimating features. If you need those (and most residential roofers do), you’ll add another tool on top, closing the gap fast.
Scenario 3: 15-Person Storm Restoration Company ($5M+/year revenue)
Needs full CRM, supplement management workflow, insurance claim processing, Xactimate support, and high-volume measurements.
- AccuLynx Pro/Elite: Quote-based, no published figure. Add EagleView reports at volume: 20 medium Premium Residential reports a month at Gold pricing ($49 each) is about $980/month. Budget roughly $11,760/year for measurements alone, plus the CRM quote.
- JobNimbus Enterprise + HailTrace: Both quote-based. Combined estimate unavailable.
- Roofr Scale + CompanyCam Crew + HailTrace: $299 (Scale, annual) + $467 (Crew at 15 users on annual billing: $119 + 12 × $29) + HailTrace (quote) = $766/month before storm data. $9,192/year + HailTrace + measurement reports.
Key insight: a $249/month flat-rate platform can cost less annually than a $99/month per-user platform once your team grows past 5 people. But for insurance restoration work, the supplement management features in AccuLynx or JobNimbus often pay for themselves by recovering $2,000–$5,000 more per claim. Always evaluate pricing against revenue impact, not just cost. We cover this in our calculating ROI on roofing software guide.
The Hidden Cost Nobody Talks About: Switching Between Roofing Software Platforms
Every roofing software pricing comparison focuses on what you’ll pay going forward. None of them cover what it costs to leave your current platform. That’s a real number, and it can be significant.
Data migration: Exporting customer records, job history, photos, and documents from one platform to another is rarely seamless. Some platforms lock data behind proprietary formats. AccuLynx offers API access but it’s customer-gated (not public). JobNimbus data can be exported, but the formatting may not map cleanly to a new system. If you have 3 years of job history, expect 10–20 hours of cleanup work. For step-by-step migration guidance, we’ve written a complete CRM switching guide.
Retraining time: Budget 2–4 weeks of reduced productivity for a 5-person crew learning a new CRM. At an average billing rate of $150/hour across the crew, even 1 hour of lost productivity per person per day for 2 weeks (10 working days) costs roughly $7,500 in opportunity cost.
Contract lock-in: Leap requires 1-year contracts. Projul is annual-only. ServiceTitan typically involves multi-year agreements. AccuLynx, to its credit, offers monthly billing with cancel-anytime terms. Always ask about contract length before signing.
Integration re-setup: Your QuickBooks Online connection, EagleView integration, and any material distributor live pricing feeds (ABC Supply, SRS Distribution, QXO) all need to be reconfigured. Plan for a full day of administrative work per major integration.
Platforms with the lowest switching friction: Roofr (newer, cloud-native, simple data model), Jobber (strong export tools), and CompanyCam (photo-first, easy to migrate since it’s usually an add-on tool, not the primary CRM).
Which Roofing Software Pricing Model Is Right for Your Business?
Here’s the decision framework we recommend based on team size, job type, and measurement volume.
Solo or 1–2 person operation: Free or pay-as-you-go options beat any subscription. Roofr Starter (free with $19 reports) or RoofSnap PAYG ($13/report) keep your costs under $200/month with zero commitment. Don’t pay for a full CRM until you need one.
Small crew (3–7 people): Flat-rate platforms win on cost. Roofr Essentials at $249/month covers unlimited users. CompanyCam Core at $63/month annual handles photo documentation. Jobber Grow works if per-user fees stay manageable at your team size. This is where the RSG software matching tool helps narrow things down.
Mid-size company (8–20 people): AccuLynx or Roofr Scale offer the best feature-to-cost ratio. Avoid per-user platforms like RoofSnap at this size, where 15 users easily costs $780/month just for measurements. If you’re comparing AccuLynx and JobNimbus, read our head-to-head comparison.
Enterprise / multi-location: ServiceTitan or AccuLynx Elite. Accept that pricing will be quote-based and negotiate on implementation fees, not monthly rates. ServiceTitan’s multi-location financial rollup features justify the premium for 20+ crew operations.
Insurance restoration specialists: Prioritize supplement management (AccuLynx, Leap, JobNimbus) even if it costs more. The workflow ROI from recovering more per insurance claim justifies the price difference. Pair with RoofersCoffeeShop forums for community tips on maximizing supplement recovery rates.
Storm chasers: Combine HailTrace for targeting with a separate CRM. Don’t overpay for CRM features you won’t use between storm seasons.
What Contractors Are Asking
“I’m doing $2M in revenue with 6 guys. Is AccuLynx overkill for my size?”
Not overkill, but budget carefully. AccuLynx Essential (if you can get the $250/month rate) is reasonable at your size, but the add-on costs for texting, SmartDocs, and the customer portal can push you to $400+/month. If you don’t need supplement management or insurance restoration features, Roofr Essentials at $249/month with no per-seat fees gives you more for less. If you do insurance work, AccuLynx earns back the difference fast.
“Can I run my roofing business on just Roofr and CompanyCam?”
Yes, for residential re-roofing. Roofr handles measurements, proposals, and CRM. CompanyCam handles job site photos and documentation. Together they cost about $312/month (Roofr Essentials plus CompanyCam Core on annual billing) to roughly $500/month (Roofr Scale plus CompanyCam Crew, billed monthly), depending on plan and team size. The gap: neither handles insurance supplements or Xactimate workflows natively. If you’re doing retail residential work without insurance claims, this is one of the most cost-effective stacks available.
“What’s the real cost difference between paying monthly vs. annually?”
Most platforms discount 15–20% for annual billing. On a $300/month platform, that saves $540–$720/year. But you lose flexibility. If you’re unsure about a platform, pay monthly for 3 months to validate the fit, then switch to annual billing. The short-term premium is worth avoiding a 12-month commitment to software that doesn’t work for your crew.
“Should I budget for training time when switching software?”
Absolutely. Budget 1–2 weeks of reduced productivity per crew member during any transition. The real cost of new roofing software is not the subscription price. It is the 40–80 hours of collective team time spent learning the new system, rebuilding templates, and getting comfortable. Factor in several thousand dollars of “productivity drag” for a mid-size team during the first month, regardless of which platform you choose.
Frequently Asked Questions About Roofing Software Pricing
What is the best roofing software for small contractors?
For solo operators and crews under 5 people, Roofr Starter (free CRM with $19/measurement reports) and Jobber Core ($49/month for 1 user, $39/month on a 1-year commitment, or $29/month prepaid annually) are the strongest options. Both keep costs low while covering the essentials: estimates, scheduling, and invoicing. If you need aerial measurements without a subscription, RoofSnap’s pay-as-you-go model at $13/report works well. The best choice depends on whether you prioritize roofing-specific features (Roofr) or general field service management with broader trade support (Jobber). For a personalized recommendation, try the RSG matching tool to narrow your options based on your crew size and job types.
How much does roofing software cost per month?
Roofing software ranges from $0 (Roofr Starter) to $699/month (Jobber Plus at 15 users, month-to-month) on published plans, and higher for quote-only enterprise platforms. Free tiers exist (Roofr Starter, Hover Starter). Published entry-level plans start at $49–$79/month for a single user (Jobber Core, Leap Essential, CompanyCam Core), with discounts for annual terms. Mid-tier roofing CRMs like AccuLynx and JobNimbus do not publish prices and quote per company, and ServiceTitan is quote-only as well. For a typical 5-person crew on a published-price platform, expect $249 to $500 per month once you add measurement reports or extra seats (see the TCO scenarios above).
Is AccuLynx worth it for small roofing companies?
AccuLynx can be worth it for small companies that do insurance restoration work. Its supplement management, Xactimate integration, and insurance-specific workflows save hours per claim and often help recover thousands more per approved supplement. For retail-only roofers doing straightforward re-roofs without insurance involvement, AccuLynx’s feature set may exceed what you need, and platforms like Roofr Essentials ($249/month, unlimited users) or JobNimbus (quote-based) offer similar CRM functionality. The key question: do you process insurance claims regularly? If yes, AccuLynx pays for itself. If no, simpler and cheaper alternatives exist.
What is the difference between JobNimbus and AccuLynx?
Both are roofing-focused CRMs, but they differ in pricing model, target user, and feature depth. JobNimbus uses a simpler per-user pricing structure and is generally considered easier to learn, making it popular with smaller crews. AccuLynx offers deeper insurance restoration workflows, more robust material ordering integrations, and stronger supplement management tools. Neither vendor publishes prices, so get a written quote from each. JobNimbus tends to win on simplicity for retail residential roofers. AccuLynx tends to win for insurance restoration companies and larger operations that need advanced reporting and multi-location support. For a detailed breakdown, read our AccuLynx vs. JobNimbus comparison.
Does roofing software include aerial measurement tools?
Some platforms include aerial measurements in their subscription, while others charge per report or require a separate integration. Roofr includes measurement reports at every plan level (free at the Starter tier for $19/report, included in higher tiers with volume credits). RoofSnap offers both pay-as-you-go ($13/report) and subscription models with bundled reports. AccuLynx and JobNimbus integrate with third-party measurement providers like EagleView and GAF QuickMeasure but do not include measurement costs in their base subscription. ServiceTitan partners with measurement providers as add-ons. Always ask whether measurement reports are included or billed separately, because 20–30 reports per month at $15–$25 each adds $300–$750/month to your true software cost.
What is the best free roofing estimating software?
Roofr Starter is currently the strongest free option for roofing estimates. It includes a free CRM, proposal tools, and access to measurement reports at $19 each (not included in the free tier, but no subscription required). For general contractor estimating that works for roofing, some platforms offer free trials or limited free tiers, but most require a paid subscription for full estimating functionality. Truly free roofing estimating software with no limitations does not exist in 2026. Every platform either charges per report, per user, or caps the number of estimates you can send on a free plan. Roofr’s free tier is the closest thing to a no-cost starting point for residential roofing estimates.
How does per-user pricing work in roofing software?
Per-user pricing charges you a monthly fee for each person who logs into the software. This includes office staff, salespeople, project managers, and sometimes field crew members. Platforms like Jobber ($49–$139/month for one user on Core and Connect, plus $29 per additional user), CompanyCam ($34 per additional user per month, or $29 on annual billing), and RoofSnap ($52–$78/user/month on annual plans, depending on team size) all use this model. The cost scales with your team. A 10-person team on CompanyCam Crew pays $149 + 7 × $34 = $387/month on monthly billing ($322 on annual) just for photo documentation. Per-user pricing benefits very small teams (1–3 people) but becomes expensive fast as you grow. Flat-rate alternatives like Roofr (unlimited users on every plan) save money for teams above 5 people. When evaluating per-user pricing, count every person who needs access, including part-time employees and subcontractors who might need the mobile app.
Can roofing software help with insurance claims and storm damage?
Yes. Several roofing platforms are specifically designed for insurance restoration workflows. AccuLynx leads in this category with built-in supplement management, Xactimate integration, and insurance carrier communication tracking. JobNimbus also supports insurance restoration workflows with customizable boards that track claims from inspection through supplement approval. Leap integrates with Xactimate for in-home estimating during insurance inspections. For storm damage lead generation, HailTrace provides verified hail impact data with door-knocking maps and lead targeting tools, though it is a lead generation platform rather than a full CRM. The most effective insurance restoration tech stack combines a storm-tracking tool (HailTrace) with an insurance-focused CRM (AccuLynx or JobNimbus) and a photo documentation platform (CompanyCam) to build stronger claims and recover more per approved supplement.
Final Verdict: Stop Overpaying for Roofing Software
The roofing software market in 2026 has more options, more pricing models, and more hidden costs than ever before. The difference between choosing wisely and choosing poorly can be thousands of dollars per year for a mid-size roofing company. That is real money that either goes to a software vendor or stays in your pocket.
Here is what we know after comparing every major platform:
- The sticker price is never the full price. Add-ons, per-report fees, implementation charges, and texting credits can add anywhere from a third to more than double the base subscription cost, as the TCO scenarios above show.
- Per-user pricing punishes growth. If your team is expanding, flat-rate platforms save you thousands annually.
- The cheapest option is rarely the best value. Free plans work for solo operators, but undersized software costs you more in lost deals and wasted time than the subscription fee you are trying to avoid.
- Switching costs are real but manageable. Do not stay on a platform that does not fit just because migration feels painful. The cost of staying on the wrong software compounds every month.
- Transparent pricing is a green flag. Companies that publish their rates upfront tend to run more straightforward businesses across the board.
If you are still unsure which platform fits your budget and workflow, use the RSG software matching tool. Answer a few questions about your team size, job types, and must-have features, and we will narrow it down to 2–3 options that actually fit. No sales pitch, no affiliate bias toward the highest-commission product. Just a recommendation based on what works for roofing contractors like you.
Your software should make you money, not drain it. Choose accordingly.
